Kahnle Law, PLLC was started by Cathy J. Kahnle on June 8, 2011 as a general practice law firm in Seeley Lake, Montana.

Cathy has practiced law for 25 years in both state and federal courts. Her practice has been concentrated in complex civil litigation cases including, governmental tort defense, aviation and air crash litigation, products liability, medical device and medical malpractice cases, commericial contract disputes, telecommunication law, auto negligence, personal injury, asbestos litigation, insurance coverage and insurance contract disputes, construction litigation, wrongful death, property and casualty defense, employment law, and professional malpractice. In addition, Cathy has represented clients in the field of family law; trusts and estate, probate and wills; social security disability and SSI claims. Cathy also assists clients in the development of business entities, including non-profit organizations, real estate transactions, wrongful termination of employment, and evaluation ofcovenants not to compete.

In the course of her career, Cathy has had three cited cases in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida (telecommunications law), the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Florida (employment law), and the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana (corporate insurance dispute).

Cathy is happily married and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, reading and gardening. She spends her spare time trying to keep up with her husband Mike and her labrador retriever puppies. She is active in her community including serving on the board of directors of the Clearwater Resource Council.
